The SEAPEX Annual members golf tournament will be held at Batam Hills Golf Club and Resort, Indonesia, on Thursday 12 April 2012. The sponsor of the tournament is IHS who in addition to sponsoring the food and drinks, trophies and transport, will also be providing the goody bags. Registration and payment will open online on the 15 January 2012 on a first come first served basis for 60 golfers.
A bus will be provided leaving the Orchard Hotel at 6.45am and will arrive at Harbour Front Ferry Terminal approx 7.15am. We are taking the Penguin Ferry at 8.20am and all immigration will be processed by Batam Golf and Resort who will have a representative at Harbour Front. We need to give all passport details to the representative beforehand so please fill in all the passport info in the online registration process. If you change passports between now and the day of the tournament then please email dave@kanaconsultants.com with the new information.
When you arrive at Harbour Front look for the SEAPEX sign and IHS representatives who will require your passports and will direct you to the ferry and inform you of the immigration process. At this point you will also receive your IHS Goody Bag.
On arrival at Sekupang Immigration the Batam Golf Resort representative will fastrack us through, and a bus will be provided to take us to the golf course. We will be teeing off as soon as possible after we arrive and have breakfast at the clubhouse. It is a shot gun start.
Drinks and food will be available on the course and lunch and prizegiving provided at approx 14.30pm. We estimate that we will be taking the 17.00pm ferry(Indonesia time) back to Singapore where a bus will be waiting to take the people who registered for the bus back to the Orchard Hotel. Taxis are also available at Harbour Front.
The tournament will be a 4 man Texas scramble and will be played of scratch so the committee will pick evenly matched teams.
