SEAPEX GEOTHERMAL FIELD EXCURSION, SATURDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2010

Dr Grahame Oliver, SEAPEX Visiting Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore, will be leading a field excursion to three geothermal prospects in Singapore on Saturday 6 February 2010.

The excursion will visit granite and gabbro quarries where the reservoir characteristics of an engineered underground heat exchanger can be debated. This will be followed by a visit to Punggol Point, where the volcanics will be examined. The final stop will be at the Sembawang 70°C hot spring where a hydrogeology model for Singapore will be presented along with the case for three geothermal prospects in Singapore.

SEAPEX TECHNICAL FORUM / FARMOUT FORUM, FRIDAY 9 APRIL 2010

Call for Technical Forum Papers and Farmout Forum Posters

SEAPEX will host an afternoon Technical/Farmout Forum on Friday 9 April 2010 at Orchard Hotel, Singapore.

The Technical Forum will feature up to 8 presentations that will concentrate on key global technology achievements that will affect future hydrocarbon exploration. There will be no requirement for South East Asia examples.

The Farmout Forum will comprise a farmout poster panel exhibition area where companies can promote farmout opportunities and discuss them with potential investors.

The Society of Petrophysicists and Well log Analysts (SPWLA) invites you to participate in the 51st Annual International SPWLA Conference in Perth, Western Australia from 19 – 23 June 2010. The Formation Evaluation Society of Australia (FESAus), the Australian chapter of the SPWLA, will act as local hosts.
