DICK MURPHY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
We are pleased to inform you that SEAPEX has initiated a student scholarship awards program appropriately named “Dick Murphy Scholarship Award” to assist a limited number of pre-qualifying Southeast Asia National students who have been awarded a provisional place to study a Master’s degree or equivalent in petroleum geosciences at a recognized university.
If you are (or know of) a suitable candidate that would genuinely benefit from this initiative then please apply by completing the application form available for download from the website.
The closing date for applications is 30th June 2011. Terms & conditions apply.
STUDENT INTERNSHIP
SEAPEX receives enquiries and requests for assistance from students interested in internships with regional E&P and service companies. As part of SEAPEX's Training, Education & Career Development Program, we would like to compile a list of companies prepared to receive internship applications, which we could then forward to interested students for them to contact the companies directly. If your company is happy to participate in this scheme, please email to Judy Foong at judy.foong@seapex.org the name and contact details of the relevant person in your organisation.

Every year SEAPEX allocates a portion of its budget for Discretionary Spending to support educational, philanthropic and other causes and activities that advance the objectives of our society. A summary of SEAPEX's Discretionary Spending for the 2009-2010 fiscal year was presented at the AGM in October 2010. This summary report as well as the approved Discretionary Spending for the 2010-2011 fiscal year can be accessed via the SEAPEX website. Members are also being asked to submit additional ideas for deserving causes and activities for this year's Discretionary Spending. If you have any questions about or ideas for the use of SEAPEX's Discretionary Spending, please contact Bill Lafferrandre (bill.g.lafferrandre@conocophillips.com).
